Local play
Android, Windows and Linux work without an account or internet. Progress, cat choices, language, comfort settings and records stay on your device. Local game measurements are not sent to a server.
The browser game downloads files on first launch. Later offline launches are not guaranteed. Clearing browser data may remove local saves; you can download a file backup.
Optional Google sign-in and cloud
Google sign-in, optional cloud backups and record sharing are enabled in this beta preview. Local play without sign-in remains available.
Google/Firebase Authentication manages sign-in; Komorebi never receives your Google password. The identity service processes your account ID and basic Google profile. Private backups are linked to your user ID.
Saves are uploaded only when you choose to back up. The current and previous backups are kept. Local saves are never changed automatically. Google/Firebase and hosting may process network and session data to operate the service. No advertising or game analytics SDK is enabled.
Player backups are stored in Firebase Firestore Standard in Belgium (europe-west1). Your language preference is stored in this browser.
Hall of Fame
Sharing requires separate consent. Your chosen name, cat and score become public. Email, private backups and profile photos are not shown. Records are device-reported, not server-verified competition results.
Deletion and retention
You can delete your cloud backup and shared record separately. Deleting the Komorebi cloud account removes this game’s cloud data, not your Google account or local saves. Back up local data before deleting it.

Web arcade player choice
Choose a player name and cat before entering the web demo. This choice is remembered only in this browser; no Google account is required. Your name is not automatically published. Hall of Fame sharing requires a separate sign-in and explicit consent.
